Naoto Fukasawa

Rather than asserting the individuality of the designer, Fukasawa is renowned for his quietly powerful designs that visualize people's thoughts and aspirations from the perspective of everyday life. His work spans a broad and diverse range of fields, from household products and precision electronic devices to mobility, furniture, interiors, and architecture. Through design, he approaches the essential nature of objects and experiences, and his philosophies and expressions have received international acclaim across disciplines and borders. He is regarded as one of the most influential designers in the world. His numerous accolades include German Design Award 2026 – Personality of the Year, the Art Encouragement Prize by the Minister of Education, the Isamu Noguchi Award, and the Collab Design Excellence Award 2024, among many others. He has also been accorded the title of Royal Designer for Industry (Royal Society of Arts). Fukasawa is currently Vice President of Tama Art University and Curator of The Japan Folk Crafts Museum.

Established in 2002 by designers Tetsuhiro Hattori and Kyoko Hattori. TORAFU ARCHITECTS

Founded in 2004 by Koichi Suzuno and Shinya Kamuro. Based on a foundation of architectural thinking, the studio's diverse portfolio spans a wide range of disciplines, including architecture, interior design, exhibition venue design, product design, spatial installations, and film production.
